Bird Brain Hero, Michelle Malkin, Attacks a 12 Year Old

Few well-known bloggers support the bird brains except for Michelle Malkin . She has been supportive of them since their inception and showed up for their 'counter-protest' of the Septemer 15th anti-war protest in Washington D.C.

This past week, Malkin has turned her attention to attacking and stalking** Graeme Frost and his family, who were saved from bankruptcy by Maryland's SCHIP program. Graeme and his sister Gemma suffered traumatic brain injuries in an auto accident. Malkin and her ilk bent over backwards to try and prove that Graeme and Gemma didn't 'deserve' the coverage because their parents were secretly wealthy.

One of the more shocking aspects of Malkin's attacks on the Frosts is that she herself has experienced the impossibility of finding affordable health insurance for her family.

Most normal people would feel compassion for another family struck down by such unfortunate events - especially if they know they could easily be in the same boat - but Malkin feels only anger and hatred toward those less fortunate than herself.

This lack of compassion is the best sign of a sociopath. And sociopaths of a feather flock together.

*this verbiage necessary since skye820 is apparently a little crazy and keeps doing things like editing her comments after they are replied to and deleting comments she doesn't like. I wouldn't put it past here to also change permissions on her photos after they are used correctly.
** Notice the headline. The Frosts are actually the victims of neo-con smears, but the headline would have you think that they have some control over the ire of the neo-cons. They did nothing more than speak up for a program which helped their program. They had no control over how the wingnuts reacted, so the headline is wrong.

Bird Brains Appropriated Their Organization Name from EMS Doctors?

Since 1998, there has been an annual gathering of Emergency Physicians. And since 1999 or 2000, this conference has been called "A Gathering of Eagles".

The physicians did not make up this noble name themselves. No, it was given to them by the press since the work they do is so important for public safety and well-being -- pretty much the opposite of the 'work' done by the bird brains.

Could it be that the bird brains just appropriated the name when trying to come up with a fine-sounding name for their group? It wouldn't surprise me one bit.

And, if true, the bird brains will probably whine that the 'name wasn't trademarked' or that 'we didn't know'. If you see that, you should know that the EMS organization shows up prominently in web searches. For example, it was in position #7 in a Google search this morning, but its position was likely much higher before the bird brains started mouthing off and stifling free speech by stealing banners and beating up protesters.

It is exceedingly bad form to appropriate a name even if it's not copyrighted nor trademarked. It looks as if bird brains are trying to appropriate the good reputation the EMS physicians have built. Wouldn't surprise me one bit.

Bird Brains Hopelessly Confused about CodePink Messaging

The bird brains are now mistaking photoshopped photos with obvious watermarks for reality. What else would you expect from hate-filled bird brains?

Even when faced with the evidence*, the bird brains insist that the manipulated banner is real and that their warped perceptions of reality are valid:

So, 'Snooper' - and hundreds others - saw the bottom banner***, but they didn't really see it. They saw another one. Then 'Snooper' was informed that the banner he saw wasn't the banner he saw but instead was one he didn't see in California. Huh?

Just a side note: 'Snooper' and other liars like him were rewarded for their behavior with an invitation to the White House last week. He is also a member of "Vets for Freedom", who literally wear brown shirts. I guess that those vets want the freedom to lie -- and the lack of freedom for others to protest those lies!

* Duh! The photoshopped version has 'photoillustration' right on it!
** This is a common tactic of the bird brains. Either they don't know it's impossible to prove a negative or they do know and think they are being clever. Either way, their demands for critics to prove a negative just make them look like morons.

Actual 'Desecration' of the Capitol Steps in March

One of the hallmarks of the bird brains is that they consider symbols and objects to be more important than people. That's how you can tell they are anti-social. As the saying goes, normal people love people and use objects while anti-social people love objects and use people.

It's o.k. for hundreds of thousands of people to be maimed or killed for no good reason, but when you threaten one of the precious objects of the bird brains, they react like this:

One of the things which enraged the bird brains the March anti-war protest in D.C. was the 'defacing' and 'desecration' of the steps of the capitol.

I finally found a photo of that 'defacement':

It is charcoal or rubber marking the sidewalk in several locations. The 'A' symbol is for anarchists. That's it. That is the kind of trivial thing that drives the bird brains into a near-psychotic tizzy.

Oh, and apparently someone put a CodePink tiara on a statue. That was considered 'desecration' also. The bird brains have no sense of humor... nor of normal human values!

UPDATE: The bird brain respected the right of these protesters to protest by grabbing their banner out of their hands - not a scarf. We shouldn't be mad at him; he was just defending our precious freedom to agree with the government as guaranteed in the Constitution!

More Bird Crap from the Bird Brains

On Friday, a contingent of the 'eagles' tried to rip off the state of Maine by refusing to pay tolls for their use of the Maine Turnpike. This seems like a small thing, but the tolls totaled $2000.

Somehow, these bird brains think that because what they are doing what they want to do*, they are exempt from the laws that govern all of us. Typical bird brain illogic.

The bird brains were bailed out by a Portland man, Vaughan Pratt, who may actually be a prat for doing so. I have found that when you enable bad behavior by bad people, they just continue the bad behavior -- and then get worse.

Now, the only question I have is if they are going to beat up any of their fellow citizens who they think are 'threatening' the 'Dignity Vietnam Wall" monument they carted up there?

*doing motorcycle caravans, harassing their fellow citizens, beating up their fellow citizens, etc.

Dubya Honors Freepers and Bird Brains

On Tuesday, Dubya spent a lot of taxpayers' dollars to honor the most extreme fringes of our society, including Freepers and the Bird Brains. They put on quite a spread, and all the top brass was there: Dubya, Dick, Condi and Karen "I Don't Listen; I Talk" Hughes.

It's exactly the kind of behavior you would expect from somebody who is desperate for approval and isn't too fussy about where he is going to get it.

Some of the Bird Brains Are Also Thugs

Gold Star father Carlos Arrendondo was assaulted by several bird brains during last week's anti-war protest in D.C.

Carlos was pulling a flag-covered coffin with the boots and photo of his son, Alexander, on it. Alexander was killed in Najaf in 2004 and since then, Carlos has participated in many protests without incident. It is a heart-breaking sight.

This time, one of the bird brains was so upset by the display that he grabbed the photo of Alexander off the coffin and ran with it. Carols tackled him trying to get the photo back and then several other bird brains rushed in, kicking and punching.

It takes cowardly men to gang up on someone like that.

Why did the bird brain feel justified in stealing Alexander's photograph? This is among the long screed he posted on the GOBB site (no links to hate group):

...The captive Marine was not among his own. He was surrounded and outnumbered by those who shamelessly exploit his image and memory, disgrace his uniform, his brothers in arms, and his willing sacrifice. He would never choose such company. He needed a rescue…

There was no 'captured Marine'. It was a photograph of a dead Marine displayed by a grieving father. Somehow, the bird brains regard objects such as photographs to be more human than the real people with whom they disagree. That's just stupid and crazy.

Why not work instead to 'rescue' the real Marines who are fighting, getting maimed and dying for no good reason in Iraq? Why not work instead to 'rescue' vets who are homeless and/or suffering from PTSD?

Sadly, No! has a better response than I could ever write, so go there.

The Bird Brains' New TV Show

Why This Blog?

Gathering of Eagles (GOE) first caught my attention in March 2007. I think I first read about them on Sadly, No! I saw photos of them on Flickr. I laughed and laughed. Then it got funnier. The bird brains claimed after the protest that they had 30,000 'eagles' defending the memorial.

And then it got even funnier. Someone named "Betty", supposedly from the National Park Service, congratulated the group for their victory. Victory over what? Over the truth, I guess.

Another large anti-war protest was planned for September and GOE planned to be there to defend the Vietnam War Memorial again. So I kept an eye open for GOE antics.

Before the rally, the bird brains were foaming at the mouth about an oily substance which had been splashed on the Memorial and concrete curb in front of it. They wrote comments such as, "Whatever did this is not human and has now forfeited thier [sic] right to breathe."* Dozens of them assembled to defend the Memorial against further 'attack'.

They were in their usual fine form. I posted some comments on Flickr, especially for photos by someone named skye820 .

UPDATE 09/25/07: skye820 has deleted all comments from anyone other than her. She has also blocked all the users who were commenting on her photos. It's funny, because the Bird Brains say they respect the right of people to disagree. It's also funny because it now looks as if she is talking to herself. *** I'll show screenshots of the comments as they originally were in another post.

But in doing so, I realized that a handful of hateful idiots was funny, a group of hateful idiots was not. I recalled TV coverage of the 'patriotic' construction workers beating up 'hippies' and 'commies' outside the 1968 Democratic Convention in Chicago. I recalled images of Hell's Angels beating up 'hippies' and 'commies' at Altamont -- and killing that black teenager, Meredith Hunter (Hunter is the one in green; this photo shows his last moments).

I didn't see much of a difference between those Hell's Angels then and the GOE now. So, since satire and mocking are effective tools against sociopaths, I decided to start this blog.

Well, and because Facebook has such crummy blogging tools! You may wish to visit my sister group, "Gathering of Eagles" Means "Gathering of Bird Brains"**** there.

* Well, no. Vandalism, even of a War Memorial, isn't a capital offense. UPDATE: it now looks like the substance was sunscreen and was most likely squirted on the memorial by some small child walking along -- perhaps behind his or her parents who had no idea their kid got his hands on it. Has the kid now "forfeited the right to live"? Stay tuned!
